Liz Scisco, LEED AP

Principal Designer and Business Owner

Liz founded True Design in October 2017 with the hope of creating a company that serves clients going through the renovation process. Her background working for custom home building and renovation companies combined with her degree in Interior Architecture from UNCG gives her a unique perspective and expertise in the building process.

Her passion is creating unique spaces that are truly tailored to each clients’ taste as well as fitting the form and function of each client’s home. She has lived and worked in the Chapel Hill/Durham area for over 10 years and loves North Carolina. Liz also is dedicated to doing non-profit work to better her community and stays involved in local politics and building processes.

Outside of design, Liz enjoys traveling with her husband, Taylor, and learning and creating with her daughter, Amelia. She has two wonderful rescue dogs, Motley and Brody, and a sweet gray and white cat named Chromeo. True to her Boone origins, she is happiest outside, preferably in a hammock with a good book!

Rachel Stoner

Designer

Rachel is a recent graduate of NC State University's College of Design. She grew up in Durham and Chapel Hill and has worked for nonprofits and local businesses throughout college.

Her affinity for art history and relationship with art sparked her interest in interior design. She enjoys learning about clients' interactions with their homes and how she can make their spaces more functional while still considering aesthetics.

In her free time, Rachel loves to read, play tennis and soccer, and hang out with her two dogs.

Jordan McLeod

Junior Designer

Jordan was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She recently graduated from East Carolina University in May of 2022 with her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and a Minor in Business. She has a younger brother named Nicholas and two dogs. In her free time she enjoys going to the park with friends, reading, and creating drawings and collages. She has always had a passion for art and design; she began drawing as a young child and never stopped. This naturally snowballed into a love for all things interior design. She is excited to begin her career at True Design to create aesthetically pleasing solutions to heighten functionality and improve quality of life for all of our clients!

Gigi Reilly

Design Assistant

Gigi studies Interior Design at Meredith College in Raleigh, where she lives with her fiancé, bunny, and rescue pup. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring local cafés. After earning a B.S. in Health Admin from FGCU in 2017, and earning a health coach certification in 2020, she had an “ah-ha” moment.  By becoming an Interior Designer, she could leverage her empathy skills and knack for design to improve the lives of clients and do what she loves! In 2023, Gigi set out to forge a career in Interior Design and has never looked back. She comes to True Design with experience in commercial and residential design, as well as custom furniture design.  From drawing floor plans on box lids as a child, to gaining proficiency in design software, her inclination toward interior design is lifelong. Gigi loves crafting functional, personalized spaces and is excited to help bring our clients’ visions to life.
